Review in Comic Related Comic Related has posted a very positive review of IF-X #8, which includes a six-page short written by me and illustrated by Nick Mueller. The reviewer give a positive nod to our story, stating "Josh writes a very good story embellished nicely by Mueller's artwork." Shamrock: Origins -- Coming Soon! Here's the scoop. Looks like Shamrock: Origins #1 will be printed in Mysterious Visions anthology #13. Rumor has it that the issue will be distributed into comic shops via Haven. Check out a preview below. Scroll down a bit on this page to see the penciled version of this panel. More info as soon as I know an exact availability date.

Havoc update Looks like Bob Richardson and I have finally found an inker for our comic, Havoc: Vampire Hunter. Wer're pleased to have the very talented V Shane on board. I've worked with V Shane on a number of projects, and I'm happy to have him with us on this one. 
More updates as we progress! Shamrock: Origins Remember the Shamrock: Origins project? It was our entry in 2008's Small Press Idol contest. We came up short and didn't make it to the final round, but I am pleased to announce that Franc has now finished all 12 pages of the story, and Slamet is working on applying the colors to the last 4. That's right, kids, the comic is nearly finished! Here's a sneak peek at a panel from the final pages, Franc's work is amazing! 
Thanks again to everyone who supported us throughout the contest, and I'll pop in with another update once the comic is fully complete. Fall 2008 Update Had a pretty eventful year this year, and I'm still plugging away trying to put all the wacky ideas swimming around in my head onto paper. As you may remember, Franc Czuba and I had an entry in the Small Press Idol contest titled Shamrock: Origins. The comic is still set to appear in an upcoming issue of Dimestore's Mysterious Visions anthology sometime next year. The art from Franc is beautiful. I also hope to move forward with more Shamrock projects in the future. I have tons of ideas for this.  The Deer Hunter, with art by Conan Momchilov, appeared in Negative Burn #20 from Desperado Publishing. The Garden, with art by Nick Mueller, appeared in Alterna Tales #4 from Alterna Publishing. Nick Mueller and I also have a story titled Deal With the Devil, set to appear in IF-X #8, due out late February 2009. Nick Mueller and I also have a story titled The Serial Killer, set to appear in an anthology from Black Chalice, availability is unknown at this time. And on top of all that, Nick and I have a couple more tricks up our sleeves, so keep your ears to the ground. 
 Worked/working on a couple projects with my friend the very talented President Nelson. Hope to do more with him next year, but he keeps pretty busy, so we'll see what his schedule permits. Check him out at deviantart. 
 The Havoc project, with art by Bob Richardson, continues to push on. Bob is about three-quarters of the way through the pencils (out of 22 pages). This one will be worth the wait, kids.  I had two stories appear in Mysterious Visions: After Hours #3, The Spell with art by Doug Stambaugh, and The Demon, with art by Anders Karlsson. Anders and I also have a story titled Detour, set to appear in a future issue of After Hours. 
 I'm very excited to announce that I have an upcoming collaboration with the very talented artist Jason Rhodes (who is also the artist on Devils Due Publishing's latest Chucky series). It's a 5-page short that will make make you smile but leave you feeling creeped out. I promise more info on this as it develops  Last but not least is an update on the short film, The Diner. I penned the screenplay, Kelly Bents directs, and it stars John Witt and Greg Carlson and Batman and Superman. The film is still currently in pre-production.
